Kerberos might Suck but a nod to CEO of Paradox
by Rob on Oct.30, 2011, under Site Related News
I have to say that I’m very impressed with Fredrick, in the Debarkle that is the Swords of the Stars II release, Fredrick has done a great job at handling it.
I won’t go into details but let me just say that I am VERY impressed at the way the man has handled himself, the fact he’s WILLING to make amends and the fact that he’s Willing to admit that stuff is WRONG.
So while Kerberos might need a shot in the head, Paradox has my support.

Livestream Feature Online.
by Rob on Aug.17, 2011, under Personal News, Robs Musings, Site Related News
I’m happy to say that at times people will be able to watch me working from now on.. I won’t promise to always have the livestream going but I do hope to at least be broadcasting from time to time, letting people see me work on art as I’m actually doing it rather then just the end product.
If you don’t know what Livestream is, it is literally a live stream of my desktop + any other video i wish to share, in most cases when it comes to my computer the live stream would be of my graphics tablet.
Unification Wars Part 1
by Rob on Aug.09, 2011, under Site Related News, Stories
I sit here now and ponder just exactly what I should do it
may seem easy to those who have asked for me to do this task but it is not, the
task by the way is to tell you the events that lead up to and during the
Unification wars. Oh of course your thinking it would be easy after all
thousands of books and other materials exist showing every event, but very few
of them are written by those who actually where in the thick of things. How
many truly know that the Unification Wars did not start at the Battle for Terra
Nova but in the far frontier when the first shots were fired years before that
great battle? Or the mistakes made that would sentence thousands of good men
and women to die?
No this is not an easy task at all, and of course some
things that I will write here are going to cause controversy, however if I am
going to tell this story it would be best to start at the start and of course
give you a quick overview of the events that led up to when I myself entered
the picture. As you most likely know by the year 2419 AD mankind had finally
left the cradle of our solar system, the advent of the Eransithe Tunnel drive
opened up the galaxy to humanity and we reached out and grasped it with both
hands. In the space of 600 years we had used the unique drive and it’s
abilities to colonise close to 200 worlds and of course we had a new calendar
system that marked everything from that date and that was used until the end of
the unification war, the C.E or Current Era calendar. By 812 CE humanity had begun
to solidify along certain lines you had the core systems or those systems that
had originally been colonised in the early years and of course the outer
systems of the colonial systems which had been colonised in the third or fourth
waves. This divide would continue to grow as the years ticked by and by 1192
the Colonial systems where clambering for increased support in the senate and
of course the core systems where clambering to keep them out to maintain their
monopoly.
And in the middle of it was the Terran Naval Defence Force a
navy that until that time had been used simply for policing the growing piracy
that had grown up as we expanded. So as history shows in 1492 the Colonial
systems grew tired of the stone walling from the Core systems and the Alarian
Cluster split from the Terran Imperium as it was known and when it did it took
the local defence force with it. That you may be asking should be impossible
right? I mean these where men and women who had sworn oaths to protect the
entire human population not just one cluster! Well there you see lay the
problem, due to the distance and the fact that the Colonial areas had been
ignored for so long many of those serving on the colonial fleets where actually
from the very region that they were serving in, the fact the entire sector
choose to go galvanised most of those serving in the armed forces who were from
those areas and the reaction to imprison those who had not mutinied was a
rather foolish thing to do in hindsight even in my era before the Unification
War.
This split of course would lead to the cold war that existed
when I will begin this tale, I do not ask you to give me pity nor am I writing
this for any one person, instead I write this because the arguments made by my
children and grandchildren are correct, that if no one tells the full story
then it will never be told, I write this for them in hope that they will never
have to do the things that I have been forced to do, even as I know that human
nature will make that dream nothing more.
